Creativity and Curiosity Festival
De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) is celebrating WCIW with their Festival of creativity and curiosity. This festival is designed to celebrate the best of teaching at DMU and foster creativity and curiosity in the surrounding community. Lectures and workshops, which are a mixture of online and in-person sessions are open to the public.
Events include using arts and media to teach people to become more resilient, helping people understand causes of climate change and empower them to take action, an interactive session titled ‘Congratulations You’re 10! Now you can be Arrested’ and a talk called ‘Why are you Scared of the P Word? Politics can be Fun (honest)!’
The festival celebrates great teaching and the impact teaching has on people’s lives. DMU is not delivered from an ivory tower. It is accessible, it’s about lived experiences and the role that the learning plays in everyone’s lives in the city.
