WCIW 2016 stats – fabulous online growth!!

Thanks so much for all of your help to spread the energy and the word about World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15-21 (WCIW 2016)!

WCIW 2017 is our 16th anniversary and it would be great to double, triple, quadruple our reach so everyone on the planet can engage in meaningful ways.

Online growth

WCIW experienced tremendous online growth in 2016. Coverage in Innovation Excellence, Creative Academic and The Banff Centre’s blog likely helped.

This year 25 countries (down from 26 last year), that we know of,  participated in 72 (up from 57 in 2016) different celebrations. See wciw.org/wciw-2016 for specifics; scroll through the blog posts too.

Here are the percentage increases and  counts for our social media platforms

  • wciw.org followers – 45 % to 4944
  • FB page likes – 24% to 1046
  • FB group members – 91 % to 1574
  • @worldcreativity followers – 12% to 3111
  • Linked in group members – 13 % to 786

All of this was achieved through volunteers (thank you!!) who use the week  to enable people to make a the world a better place in ways that are relevant to their individual contexts.

It was a great year everyone, let’s continue to collaborate, coordinate, communicate and create a greater community for sharing ideas and lending support to open doors for new potentials to emerge.

Your ideas are always welcome. Your help too.   Thank you for partnering to move the energy forward.

From your point of view, two questions:

  1. Do you feel WCIW is valuable?  If so, in what ways?
  2. Regardless of your response to question 1,
What suggestions do you have for the future of WCIW?

Kindly click on this link to respond.  The collector is open now.   Thanks.
