Creativity in workplace safety
today safety in the workplace is a matter that only arouses attention when tragedies occur. Our research carried out at the University of Turin explains that safety can also be told in a fun way using science, and in particular neuroscience and technology.
In particular, some researchers have attempted to precisely define the mechanisms of action and the effects at the neuropsychological and neurobiological level, as well as psychological, of meditation on deep awareness or mindfulness. [1] One of the first references is that of Bishop and colleagues (2004), who proposes a two-component mindfulness model: the adoption of an attitude of acceptance of the present experience and attentional self-regulation. According to this first definition, mindfulness is characterized by two interconnected elements: the ability to direct attention to the present moment and the attitude with which it is done, expressed by curiosity, openness and acceptance. Self-regulating attention means focusing it on immediate experiences, coming from both internal and external stimuli, and implies the metacognitive ability to be aware of the mental events that occur at a given moment.
