Arts Beyond Borders
Arts Beyond Borders is a collection of online educational resources which use the arts to explore the problems and tensions created by existing borders that define nationalities, races, genders, and economic status.
To celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Week this year, the Centre for Arts and Social Transformation is delighted to present Arts Beyond Borders to the world. This project was led by a group of educational scholars and practitioners in Aotearoa New Zealand who want to help students connect personally, through creative embodied arts practices, with the local and global issues that confront them in the media, at home and at school. Using their creativity and imaginations to examine, observe, explore, reflect upon and understand the causes and outcomes of these issues, young people can take action as global citizens.
