FIMO 228
This vibrant event brought together over 60 designers from across Africa, including notable figures like Nigeria’s Ejiro Amos-Tafiri and Ivory Coast’s Jean Rocard Yapo, who showcased collections blending traditional fabrics with contemporary designs. The festival emphasized eco-responsibility, featuring fashion shows with sustainable materials and an art exhibition titled “3ème vie,” where artists created works from recycled fashion items to highlight environmental protection. Beyond the runway, FIMO 228 served as a platform for emerging talents, with nearly 300 aspiring models participating in castings, and hosted events like the “Magic Mode” evening in collaboration with the Institut Français du Togo to spotlight local designers. The festival concluded with the Togocom FIMO 228 Awards, celebrating excellence in the fashion industry.
