Northeast Creativity and Innovation Summit 2025

The Northeast Creativity and Innovation Summit (NECIS) is a flagship regional event designed to spotlight and harness the power of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship as drivers of sustainable development, resilience, and economic transformation in Northeast Nigeria. The summit serves as a platform to convene young innovators, creative entrepreneurs, policymakers, private sector leaders, development partners, academics, and community actors to co-create bold solutions that respond to the unique challenges and emerging opportunities in the region.

Scheduled to hold from April 29–30, 2025, in Maiduguri, the summit is organized by Co-Development Hub in commemoration of the 2025 World Creativity and Innovation Day. Themed “Step Out and Innovate,” the event encourages participants to challenge conventional thinking, embrace new ideas, and showcase transformative projects that have the potential to shape the future of Northeast Nigeria. It is especially relevant in a region recovering from conflict, where innovation and creativity can serve as powerful tools for youth empowerment, social cohesion, and inclusive economic recovery.

The summit will feature a dynamic program including Keynote Speeches, Creativity Showcases, Innovation Awards, Product Demos, and Masterclasses. These activities are designed to inspire collaboration, scale up impactful ideas, and build bridges between innovators and enablers—from investors and government agencies to development organizations and tech hubs. The Northeast Creativity and Innovation Summit ultimately aims to elevate the voices and visions of local changemakers while attracting national and global attention to the region’s creative and entrepreneurial potential.
