SKS ART with Youth Creativity Project

So Kids SOAR Art Clinic with Youth Creativity Project! Thank you to Youth Creativity Project for partnering with us on this event.
So Kids SOAR will partner with Youth Creativity Project (YCP), to create a painting class that will be socially distanced. *You MUST be vaccinated to attend. Please email a copy of your vaccination cards to [email protected] after registering*
WHAT: So Kids SOAR will be bringing together youth with physical and developmental disabilities, their families, and volunteers for an afternoon of creativity.
WHO: This event is open to youth and young adults from ages 8 to 30 with disabilities of any type. Because this event is indoors, You MUST be vaccinated to attend.
Participants- This clinic is open to youth, ages 8 to 30, with physical and developmental disabilities – their siblings are welcome too! No previous experience is required. Instructors and equipment will be provided for all participants. Just show up and SKS & YCP will take care of the rest!
Volunteers- Must be at least age 15 or over and have been a previous So Kids SOAR volunteer; those who register who are not first-time volunteers must email Glenda Fu at [email protected] first. Volunteers – please note that there will be no area for your belongings, please keep your important items with you at all times or leave them locked in the car. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or missing items.

About Youth Creativity Project: Youth Creativity Project is a youth-led nonprofit based in the DMV using art workshops and events to connect and benefit youth in healthcare environments. In August 2022, SKS and YCP partnered to host an art workshop painting clay pots. For this winter themed crafts session, we will be making sock snowmans and/or gnomes! These will be made from filling a sock with rice and decorating with felt/buttons/decor.
