World Creativity and Innovation – Florianópolis
World Creativity Day, one of the largest creativity festivals in the world, takes place between April 21st and 23rd in Florianópolis and in more than 100 cities around the world.
Dozens of lectures, workshops, exhibitions, panels, musical performances and interactive experiences, all free of charge, mark the program that celebrates World Creativity Day 2025 – World Creativity Day in Florianópolis. In four different parts of the city, professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, students and cultural agents will meet to discuss how the exchange of knowledge and experiences between different generations can boost creativity. The complete program is available on the event’s website, where the public can register for free (link).
Textile artist, designer and environmentalist Nara Guichon participates in a round table with the theme “Art, Creativity and the Artist’s Journey”, on the 21st, on Boulevard 14/21, at Floripa Airport. In this sensitive and inspiring conversation, she will share the layers of her creative trajectory, which intertwines art, nature and purpose.
With decades of experience among threads, fabrics and forests, her speech crosses themes such as the reconnection with ancestral knowledge, the power of making with the hands, respect for the natural time of creations and the beauty that is born from the reuse and care for the planet. A rare opportunity to listen to an artist whose work is alive, silent and deeply moving.
Nara has lived in Florianópolis since 1983, where she has built a trajectory marked by the appreciation of artisanal knowledge, sustainability and deep respect for nature. With a work that combines knitting, crochet, embroidery and loom with the reuse of materials, Nara inspires a more ethical and conscious consumption. Active in Atlantic Forest recovery projects, the artist is awarded nationally and internationally for her contribution to sustainable fashion and design. Since 2017 he has dedicated himself fully to artistic production, creating works that evoke the biome and soul of our time.
